marshall 2204 12AX7 voltage?

Post by jamme61 »

I have a marshall 2204 voltage chart showing 61 volts on pin 1 of V2a, mine reads 160 volts there? Can 61 volts be right? I found this voltage chart in the tom mitchell book (how to service your own tube amp) I have searced the net and have found a lot of info but, it's all over the place, (a lot of different voltages listed) for the 2204 12ax7's. Any help would be great. Thanks

Use this schematic w/voltages: http://mhuss.com/MyJCM/JCM800_2204.pdf

be aware that B+ voltages did vary in different yrs of 2204 production but this schematic gives a great base for comparison

160 is about right for v1. v2 and 3 should be higher
