The Royal series is based off of an old amp found at a TV store. it used hard to source parts so they designed a circuit to emulate that amp with current production materials. It's most likely a work in progress to reach that original tone.

Look for a manufacturing date as to which amp is newest.

The reversed controls can be explained by the chassis being mounted as a head or combo configuration.

The factory for Bedrock was about 20 minutes from my house.

Sorry...that's about all I can add to the thread. I do know that there is a guitar guru around these parts that knew some of the guys in the company. I don't know if he would want to or could help. PM me I can give you his email.
