I recommended the zero clearance throat plate just so the piece is supported through the cut. If you don't have one you can make one pretty easily or Martins suggestion of tagging a support piece to run along the fence was a good one. The bevel doesn't leave a lot of wood to run along the table and you don't want it getting in between your blade and plate, that will ruin the cut.

I have a diablo 80 tooth now that i bought two weeks ago, but i'll say the hardwoods have been tough on her. If its only an inch and a half, i'm good.

What i'll do is probably draw the cross section in cad based on a nice angle and the max height of the blade and pull the angle that way. I can build a jig with two ot three triangular pieces with the chopsaw. Mount them, then mount a woodface on that, and voila. I'll clamp and make two passes, thanks for the two pass tip. Cool!

I once saw Norm Abram on the New Yankee Workshop program use a CNC milling machine to make a cut like that. Personally, I'm with Mark, a table saw would make quick work of it (but with a CNC, you could make the control panel too)

They did a special on tolex as part of some kids play house a couple years back.

Mounting chassis.. really? That's not hard.. If you can build a cabinet you can mount a chassis... measure chassis, mark holes, drill, done.
if it's really hard to measure make a template poke the holes in your template place template on material and use the template to mark the holes.. Drill holes.. Done.

Nothing we do here is cutting edge or reinventing the wheel. It's all been done. So why fill up server space with secondary information that can be located with very minimal effort and a search engine or library card?

I'd rather have the ability to send pictures in PM back before a wood working section.
