Variable capacitor for Dlator

Post by angelodp »

Its seems clear that the use of variable length cables have a marked effect on tone when one uses a Dlator with an ODS amp. Have any tried a switch with varying capacitors to match varying guitars and or situations in rooms. I mean built into the Dlator.

It's also effective when some players, such as Glenn K., use extra long cables in front of an amp, e.g. Trainwreck Express, to tame harsh high end response.

I don't know that you need an adjustable capacitor or rather just need to be open to the idea of using small caps where appropriate instead of using a band aid in the form of a cable.
