Decided to go with a choke. Wired in all the filaments, mounted the filter caps, hooked up my power star ground. Still waiting for parts, but hopefully they should be in tomorrow and Tuesday. I'll post some pics then.

Well, it is almost done. Just need to put the Metro Amp lossless loop and it will be done:

Very nice build! Super nice!
Signatures have a 255 character limit that I could abuse, but I am not Cecil B. DeMille.

It is stable and sounds great. the Metro loop is really nice. No tone coloration that I could detect... It now resides in my son's bedroom.

Lookin' good man, I really like the clips - nice tone and very quiet noise wise.

You did a real nice job of that amp!

So you built it for your son? I'll bet he's stoked!

I almost bought one of those Metro loops before, so it works good, eh?

Loop works great, but it will drop your voltages a bit. The kit instructions explain that. In the end I changed the resistor between B+2 and B+3 from 20K to 15K and used a decoupling resistor value of 56K to the B+ input on the loop board to keep the voltages where I had them before the loop went in. I don't think I'll ever use a tube buffered loop again, LOL!

Here's the schematic. BTW, the treble cap is a 470pf. Forgot to write it in. Also, I wrote 10K on the plate of V2b, it should be 100K like all the rest.

There is nothing new under the sun.... :D

P.S. If you use the Metro loop, use a 15K5 between B and C in the power supply, otherwise use a 20K. Tried a 10K, but the voltages were too high in the preamp section for mt taste. YMMV...

Nicely done. Impressive. How is the Guitar Vol control respond. Does it clean up? I love the all out tone.
