The 100ma is an arbitrary choice, 50% of the PT ma rating...

I can swing the g2 V -60 to -330 with respect to the plate, as it is, I can shut it off.

It sounds like just like shutting it off with over bias, that crossover distortion.

Its interesting because if you get the range right you can dial in a dissipation
for a push pull pair, below a max set with the bias.
