I got heyboer trannies in it...
I think I found another problem,it is under PT,my wires go sraight into chasis,no rubber isolator around hole cuz I didn't had place for it....all wires are little brown at that spot.....
Maybe to make another hole for 2 wires, then isolate both holes and put wires back in?

If there is no room for a gromet or pass through then use shrink tubing or tape to protect those wires passing through the chassis.
If your in the USA local hardware stores carry great plastic/nylon pass throughs well my Tru-Value store does. They even had Davies TW style knobs

Re: Smell from amp
A little 150 grit sandpaper can smooth those chassis holes out like you wouldn't believe. Don't forget to blast out the metal dust though.
Life is a tale told by an idiot -- full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

Yes, new tubes and xformers smell because of the paint and ink on them, but it's not really a burning smell.andy_wreck_fan wrote:hm guys, could it be the tubes that produce the smell? tho I dont belive it.....i'v put them into a hiwatt and now they smell also...not so bed but they do...

There's a smell to tubes... always. Part of the beauty of tube amps. The new tube smell goes away after a few hours. Most likely you're smelling the paint on the xformers.andy_wreck_fan wrote:I said it worng....
