Is is the same exact pre as the Rxes just with a half power output section? and PPIMV?
Does it use a choke like its big brother?

Justin,

Download the trainwreck pages cleaned up version for KF PPIMV type 1 and type 2.
I am no expert on the Z Rx series as they vary between versions and not sure if that was only with the 36w or both 18 and 36w models. The early amps had boost switch the next one had a foot switched optoisolater boost function. Based on pictures off google they share damn near the same preamp from what I can tell just adjust for two holes EL84 cathode bias.

Re: Dr. Z Rx jr.
I wonder why the ES uses a 5ar4, and the jr. uses a 5y3?
Re: Dr. Z Rx jr.
The 5Y3 is not intended to be used in a 36w amp like the RxES so he used a GZ34.
The 18w you can use EZ81 or 5Y3 safely.
