Supro statesman schematic
Someone was looking for this hard to find schematic for a Supro Statesman / Gretsch Fury. I have one I can email.

paraphase driving 4 6L6, verb and trem, thats neat. A paraphase has
plenty of gain to push on pair 6l6 into clip, pretty early too.
A quartet must roar...

Interesting with the two OT's.
Sort of like the first JTM 45/100 amps.

Re: Supro statesman schematic
What a waste of an amp. 'Wreck it and be done with it.
Just kidding! >:)
The dual OT trick is cool and probably gives this amp a helluva wallop in the bass department (assuming it's voiced well). Can you get a decent amount of distortion out of it? I would hope so with that many tubes shoved inside

Re: Supro statesman schematic
I'm actually trying to do the very same OT thing with an amp on the bench right now
I have an old Radio console amp that ran a quad of 25L6's in stereo
The OT's have an unusual pri:sec ratio- really not suitable for anything else but the original tubes
So I decided to make an amp with 2 completely separate preamps, PI's an Output sections including one OT for each amp. The plan is then to run this "stereo setup" into the same output jack
So I see now that it can be done with basically just the Primary Centre tap sharing the B+ voltage and then the Secondaries paralleled?
BTW this will be a low powered amp (given the output tubes): An AC 30 ish Pentode preamp thing one side and a 5D3 on the other side

.........Now where did I put it?
Re: Supro statesman schematic
This circuit has a lot of the typical Valco stuff going on in it like their standard paraphase and typical plate and cathode topology, but there is some unusual stuff for them going on here - like the SS FWB, the 6973 reverb driver, a switchable bright cap and the quartet with 2 OTs. The standby function just silences the amp with phase cancellation, but you get a little light to let you know it! Valco high end !
Anyway, thanks for sharing. In honor of the free exchange of info here is my redraw of the coveted Supro 1624T. It's nothing special really, but much sought after.

Now that's an idea, a wreck with a paraphase ! I'll work on it and then get back to you all.'Wreck it and be done with it.
