I have a rectifier problem that has just about whipped me. 5Y3 rectifier. I am not getting any DC voltage out of it. Pin 4 reads 339 VAC to ground, Pin 6 reads 312 VAC to ground, Pin 2 reads 5 VAC to ground and pin 8 reads 0 VAC to ground. Pin 2 to Pin 8 reads 5 VAC. Heater leads read 0.9 ohm through the transformer. I have tried three different tubes.
I had this amp up and running and decided to change the PT. Change the PT and had low voltage issues. Put the original PT back in. When I fired it up I again had low DC voltage issues and then I completely lost the DC reading at the first filter cap. Checked all of the filter caps and they checked good.
Thoughts please..

so no DC voltage at pin 8 to ground?
What amp is this and do you have a picture of that section?

The amp is a Fender 5B3. No pictures. Egg on face. I guess I found the problem. First rule of electrical, it is always a positive looking for a (negative) ground..Did some work on the CT ground of the xformer and now I have DC voltage. Don't quiet under stand all of that. Any how the amp is working. I have a cd playing through it and I am going to let it play for an hour and see what happens...Thanks for the reply.
Another crazy thing and I am not even going to go into this just yet..I get no voltage reading at pin 8 of the 6V6's. know that can't be or the amp would not work..Starting to make me think that I have a meter problem. Meter is a Fluke and when I measure a couple of batteries it measures correctly. Think maybe I have been at this too long and need take a break.
