Twin Xfmr Specs.
I am about to refurbish Silverface to Blackface Specs. a '72 MV Twin Reveb. Power tranny is a Woodward-Schumacher and OT is a TMI/Electrical Windings tranny. Can anyone provide info on this tranny. Does not look original to amp. Thinking of replacing with 85 watter. Thanks Bob

Electrical Windings was around for a long time and may have built some transformers for Fender, but I doubt it. If your OT is marked TMI it is not original because TMI was formed in 1983, and acquired EW some time thereafter.

May be a EW, EIA 682 9214 are the markings. Looks to new. Maybe do all work before considering replacing tranny. Just trying to get this amp to Blackface mojo land. I will be replacing Carvin Bristish 12's. British... this is un- American!! I do have a good used MM 85 watter . Pretty quiet for all original or 95% orignal. See pics. Thanks Bob

92-14 would be the year and week of manufacture. If you have an old "correct" BF Twin OT, then by all means use it.
If not, check it out the way it is, if it sounds good, fine, if not, then I would try a Magnetic Components Twin OT.

No original, but I do have a used Merc. Mag. 85watter I will use. Will save EW xfmr for future build. BTW can anyone provide info or dimensions on floating speaker baffle? Thanks Bob

I used a 94 Twin OT for my last build, it has 4,8,16 ohm outputs, and a separate winding for a direct out.![Image]()
