I got many bad JJ EL-34s from AES (every other order - no joke). They always replaced the bad ones, no questions asked. The last time I ordered from them I paid extra and got the 24 hour burn in. Those tubes lasted about 14 months (typical for me). Have not tried the Winged C yet. I really wish that tubes were screened at the factory for quality. Would save a lot of trouble down the line.

Hi, I was using winged c el34 for a while, they lasted for about 4 months then started to red plate. They did sound good though.

I compared the Winged C to chinese shugaungs i got from weber

The Winged C tubes were off by 12mA and seem to drift more as the are used
The Chinese Shugaungs were off by about 2mA and got even closer after about 30 minutes of playing

I think the Shugaungs sounded clearer but were a little cold and "plastic" sounding. The winged C's sound less cold but i think i'd prefer having the chinese tubes

FWIW both sets have been burned in and recieved normal use in my ODS
It's true i've lost my marbles and i cant remember where i put them
