They look good. Are you cloning a clone?

These are just examples to see what is posible. They are very sturdy
and the surface is scratch proof.
No I 'am not cloning a clone.
The name Mystic Blues is just a name I used before together with others on clones back in the eighty's and early ninetys. We shared all our stuff and information about the amps on a tube amp builders bulletin board. I even made some kits with that name and sold them all over the World. I build about 8 Dmbl amps myself. All these amps where clones from originals, some very accurate and exact copys and some not. The name was also used on other amps even on MB copy's. The board had 250 members and about 50 active builders.
Most of the chassis with silk screen front and backpanels came from me and are made by a little company in the Netherlands called Hacoustic.
They also made some Dmbl clones and they also owned the 2 originals I used for cloning. The name "Mystic Blues" came from a local bluesband.
E.J. A Swedish builder used this name commercial. He is very mystique and I think he was also one of the board members back then.
BTW now I only build the amps on custom order with a tamed OD section and bigger clean. Here a pic from my last build.

What can I say

hmm, seems to be a lot of fabricated history here, amp BBs in the 80s ? really ,,
I can only hope that potential (maybe novise) buyers browsing for a used genuine Mystic blues amp can tell the difference to a Belgium KIt with that very similar looking plate !!

you say your new panel is just examples,, but then you say you made Mystic blues panels in 80s ??? I dont get it

well we all know what we do,,, making amps and and clone and all that but can we at least find out our own amp names for crying out loud :? its a small world as it is,

Thanks Glasman for the Irony posting, I enjoyed that, :)
cloning a clone
weird how it goes aint it

Yes it is ironic. I made Mystic Blues amp chassis and kits back in the 80's with silkscreen front and backpanels. They where very similar to the originals with the same font styles and layout. The new panels are different and I used the name again just for fun on a few examples and not to confuse people with a name. The question is who is cloning who and I'am not blaming anyone using the name. I tried to contact the mystery Mystique man about it but until now with no succes. Should I feel bad about it now?
These amps are not for sale with this logo I build them for own use only.

The panels can be made with any logo or in any style even in full color print. I just want to let you know that they look very good and first of all they are cheap to make. One set cost me about 33 Euro.

Hi Henk, I thought the name was funny. No disrepect intended at all.

So what part of the Netherlands are you located? I work for ASML that is based outside of Eindhoven. Holland (especially the Brabant area) has been my second home for the past 25 years.

Hi Henk,

Nice amp and faceplates!
Who is making 'm for you?

At this moment I'm putting a Ceriatone OTS together.
I'm a graphic designer and I really want to design my own faceplates.
Just need someone to actually make 'm.

Thank you

Greetings from Belgium
