Robben Ford at Leverkusener Jazztage

Post by Runaway J »

Hi,
a few weeks ago I've seen Robben and Snowy White on german television (Rockpalast).
Really amazing show. The camera often moved around and offered nice looks at
Robbens ODS from behind  .
A shame that I had no way to put it on tape or dvd :( .

Now I just discovered that someone on the Robben Ford Discussion Board recorded the
show and made it available for download 8) . Here's the link:
http://cob20.sharebig.com/share.php?id= ... ftguj7lsX9
Download takes some time (5 pieces of about 250 MB each) but it's really worth it.

Cheers!

Juergen, big thanks for the link 8)

I suggest everybody to check the concert because Robbens playing and tone are cooking !!

He has 335+tele+fender(twin/super ?) + the dumble miced. He uses the Zendrive for the overdrive at least on couple of songs. And there is also spring reverb (maybe the twin (or super)) that he uses quite alot and it sounds really good IMO.

To me the songs/playing/tone are the best Robben one can expect. If this concert ever comes on DVD I'll buy it immediatly :D Btw. the bassist and drummer are really good too.

Go and check and enjoy (I can't stop listening to it 8) 8) 8) !)

The links seem to be dead. Does anyone have these files that I can copy?

Thanks for posting that! I put all the clips together and burned them onto a DVD and finally watched it. Just excellent! :D

It appears the Zen is plugged in, he may not be using it. Amp is Dumble.
335 sounds fabulous, no vol pedal IIRC.
