the new dumbletor champ

Post by briane »

thought I'd show a few pictures of a new baby, the dumbletor....

I like these things a lot...lots of extra harmonics that can also be driven into a bit of extra od. really richens and thickens the sound. Its like having 2 od stages/switches in a lot of ways when used with a d clone.

Rebuilt out of a champ clone done a while back...even has the same 5ar4, and lots of recycled parts from that build, including the chassy and pt. did the 1.8k/27k cf, like it a lot.

437v b+1, 350v b+2 to pin 1 12ax7, 323v b+3, 207 to pin 6 12ax7. About 10volts higher than I ussually like on b+2, but sounds great. A bit different than the ps strings I have used in the past though, but seems to work.

just glueing up a cab tonight....

yeah, I wondered about the size....small pictures are the new goop for amatuer photographers.
