High plate voltage

Post by DaveBo32 »

My plate voltages on v4 and v5 at pin 3 are measuring 459Vdc on my D-lite. Should I try to tame this voltage down? I'm using jj 6v6s which are biased at 19-20 mV. The amp sounds ok, but I'm afraid I may do some damage to it, if I continue to run the tubes this hot.

The printed Max Plate voltage for the JJ 6V6 is 500 v, you are fine. They are also a 15w tube and should be biased at 21mA or more.
