Amplified Nation 150w SSS

Got down and dirty on this amp...got a chassis from Mhartman, custom transformers wound by Heyboer and of course did the cabs myself

The amp kills...huge reverb, punchy as all get out. 4 x 6550

Preamp is based off of #005

Great sounding rig Taylor.

Is SSS #005 an amp we know nothing about?

I'm wondering why E.J. sold the amp?
Yours Sincerely

Great looking and sounding amp Taylor!

I really like Mike Hermans demos, he is one of the best IMHO. Do you know what speaker was used for the demo?

Would you mind to share some info on the SSS005 preamp. So no inductor for the Filters. Why did you use coiled wire in the preamp?

How is the Reverb Signal and dry signal mixed in the 005 preamp?
Is there local negative feedback loops as in 002?

Thanks for any insights!

One of those builds that's so clean it looks like it's missing parts. The Mike Hermans demo was a great idea. I imagine producing that that was both time consuming and expensive, but it really show-cases the amp in depth, and is a worthwhile addition to your new site.

The Mike Hermans demo was shot using the 2x12 I built in that last picture, with two EV12L...yeah it's heavy!!! Mike lives like 20 minutes from me so I was able to just bring the whole set over his place. I couldn't believe it when I found out he lived in Boston. He's a super nice guy too.

The coiled wires are just for show - a pretty way to jump the socket. The amp has about 510v on the plates IIRC. That PT has like 10A on the heaters. Insane. I had to use a tag strip just to reduce the 14g wire.
