Post by adlibmusic »

I just finished this yesterday.

The cab is a prototype; trying to make it as small as possible and still sound good.....

Thanks! This small cab rocks and has an acceptable amount of bottom end. I'm going to try a 3/8" speaker baffle, since it can be easily changed. I had it over at Moss' a couple of weekends back and we compared it to the wide body combo he had there (which sounds really good). My little guy sounds different, but not in a bad way. Moss says it's more focused. I will try to get some clips up soon. I'm still building another cab that is 18-3/4" square and that's taking up most of my playing time.

Not trying to steal your thunder,..but here's a D'Lite I just finished for one of my buddies. Same cab as your, with a different grille. I installed a Eminence RWB per his request, and the bottom is FAT!
I put in the Iron Sounds Effects Loop today and it works great also.
Killer amps,..can't wait to start my own build!

Very transparent. Works off 30VDC (Has a voltage regulator that enables hookup to 300+VDC from the PS chain). Two pushbuttons: In/Bypass and 0/-10db. Professional sound, and very well designed both electronically and mechanically. Would recommend it to anyone!

No problem. Your cab looks mighty fine!!!! How did you handle the back panel?
Funny you mentioned RWB; I just installed one last night!

I didn't make the cab, it was made by Reason Electronic and included two back options; 3/4 back or upper and lower panels. He does great work!
He also made my cab which is the "wider" version with upper and lower back panels.

Hi Ampdoc1,

You've got the full meal deal going on there,, fx loop, relays, and that funky looking heater bus wiring. Obviously, it's not a problem....interesting.

I just finished my d'lite and will be adding what you have there plus a variable line out (space permitting.. lol).

Iron Sounds Effects Loop

Post by sst4270 »

I'm building a D-Lite. Can you provide more information on the Effects Loop? I'd like to incorporate that into my build.

Schematics, parts list, board supplier, etc...

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Steve
