Dear Moderators,
Dear All,

I got this warning (as per attached screen dump) when entering the address: ampgarage.com/forum/

I have seen this warning when trying to download old pdf documents from the files section. I thought it was just my browser being overprotective, but now you mention it.....

I didn't continue to download them.

I got the same warning several times.

I disabled the malware and phishing protection in my Chrome settings and don't get the warning anymore.
Not sure if it is a false positive but I have not had any infections from this forum since.

I have not got an alert from my antivirus or malware programs.

I believe it has something to do with sites that host pictures. They are on a watchlist and any mention of such an url creates a warning for Chrome.

Hi,

I received the same page, and after clicking advanced, clicked proceed at your own risk. Same with downloads. Chrome has pulled this BS for months on with TAG. I posted several months ago. and the people with responsibility knew about Chrome's big brother attitude. And yes it occurred yesterday, too.

Chrome allegedly found Malware in either Jpegs or PDF files or so they claim. I used a variety of Anti Virus/Malware programs for several years worth of visiting TAG forum, and never had so much as a warning or an infection.

If it wasn't that the other browsers have gotten so slow or IE not supporting my older but more user friendly XP, I wouldn't be bothering with Chrome at all.

Chrome doesn't have an easily accessible Find function (if available) or any other function other than book marking. Try and print documents in b & w, the results without fail printed in color.

Chrome doesn't have a monopoly, I have similarly clicked links to news stories on www.yahoo.com (not a browser issue) and yahoo pages directed to another page, which read I wasn't authorized to proceed to the page. And the page was to the BBC or AP!

I used Chrome for a couple years but it seemed to be plagued with bugs and a lot of updates.

I use Comodo Dragon which is based on Chrome but has their own tweaks.

You can use any Chrome extension with it as well.

It seems to work very well.
