A couple of photos of my build

Post by Tdale »

All I need to do is get the chassis finished, and the correct 5-pin xlr, and I'll start putting this thing together.

Here are a couple of pics I took when I checked that everything fits right.

Looks good, Tommy. I see you've included a few of your own innovations as well. (10-turn pots for OD input and PI balance, individual bias adjustments, ON/Standby switch) I can't see how you're going to solder the relays to those turrets. Looks like a real pain in the a$$. It might be easier if you you IC sockets for your relays. That also keeps the heat of soldering away from the relay itself.

OK, enough fooling around. Get out there and put that amp together!

Looks really good. I'm in the process of getting materials together for an ODS 50. Can I ask which schematic and layout you're using?

I tried to solder the relay to the turrets as fast as possible...taking a break between every leg to make sure it didn't get too hot.

IC sockets would be great. But now, since the relays are soldered to the board, it won't be a problem this time.
