D'lite Ojai soundclip

Post by erwin_ve »

Hi Guys,

Recently I had a D'Lite on my bench. I converted it to Ojai Specs and has a switchable slope/midcap(100k/150k ; 0.01/0.05uF). This vid is all Ojai mode.
Plz let me know your thoughts on the sound.

I think it sounds great!

Nice playing as well.

For a true Ford tone you might want to trim the drive down a little but that is all a matter of taste.

I think it sounds very nice with that backing track.

If I could get my amp to sound like that, I'd grind the slots out of the cabinet screws so I couldn't open it up and ruin it... Very nice!

Yea, I really like it! Nice playing. I'm interested in details of the Ojai spec too... couldn't find anything with a search. Is it available?

Sounds great Erwin!

What speakers are you using? Maybe it is Youtube, but I hear some very high-freq artifatcs when listening with my Beyerdynamic DT770

Cheers,

Electron

Edit: Found the info on another of your Youtube clips: G12-65. Are these the new heritage speakers? Or old ones?
