Faceplate stencil question

All this ampery has caused me to pull out two old favorites to rewire using my current build standards. One is a 1980 Super Reverb that was converted to a '59 Bassman. The other is a '66 Bassman Chassis that is now a 5E5-A Pro. On the latter, the faceplate was so butchered that I cut off the original stencil of the "Bassman" and Fender info (about 10" in on the power side) and glued on a piece of aluminum for the rest of the face. A little bondo and it is a seamless match - although the lacquer is too shiny.

I'd like to sand out and reshoot the black for a better match and then stencil near-counterfeit grade lettering for the controls. Over the years I have tried cutting letters in masking tape, hobby store stencils, white ink pens... All of them bleed and look bogus.

Has anyone managed to do a good lettering job on a job like this? Also, does anyone know if there is an available font that matches Blackface-era Fender script?

I'd look for a local custom motorcycle painter. Those guys do amazing artwork.
