Chassis Update

Post by Funkalicousgroove »

Ok,

Talked with the sheet metal guy this morning, we should have a mock-up prototype tomorrow or thursday, I have to double check all the hole spacing against the boards before I give the final go ahead, but it will be really soon!

I have decided to pre-punch all the eyelet holes for the preamp, but all the other boards will have only the mounting holes. For all of the boards besides the preamp there will be one copper-clad board, and one plain board, that way if you don't want to etch PCB's you can drill the plain board and use the other board (Copper side toward the chassis of course) as your backing board. The trannies are standard Twin Fare, but the material is 1/8" aluminum and easy to work with if you need additional holes. All holes for boards, grounds, etc will be pre-drilled for 6-32 and 8-32 holes respectively, Mounting will be 10-32screws, and I found the "Real Deal" mounting hardware just like the real thing.
