And what a clone it is.

For those who do not know, I owned Dumble #183, which is an EL 34 non HRM Skyliner. I hired Shad from Quinn amps to take her apart and make a DEAD on clone, that captured all the TONE.

There is a Schematic floating around here which will give you most of the tech properties of the amp. Shad does beautiful work, and all I can say is I plugged in and was instantly floored. I have not had it next to the Dumble yet, but that will be soon. I can say that it seems to have all of the qualitys that I loved so much about that amp, and from the very first chord, I had chills. Shad searched around and found all NOS parts to build the amp, with the exception of 1 capacitor which seems to not exist anymore I believe. Anyway, it sounds and feels wonderful. If I did not know better, I would think it one of the finest Dumbles I have ever heard, and thats all I could ask. Thanks Shadman, I am extremely happy.

Here is what she looks like now, and I will post some pics of the innards as soon as I feel like removing the chassis.

Here is a quick 30 second clip of what she sounds like. The very first take with all knobs at noon. Volume was about shouting level.
