so I call it the # 124 as it used to be called- but I think you all are calling it the 102 now - basically a moded version of the normster & dog ears (and others) original dlite build. 6v6 or 6l6.

well - as you know as well as I this community has 'progressed' in its naming of builds over the last 5 years- I dont pay attention to hype

AFAIK this community didn't label these amps..AFAIK we just discovered the correct name and terminology for each generation (Thanks to Max our Dumble historian) Another words people outside this forum were using these terms to label these amps long before this forum has been in existence .. :shock:

BTW... Why would giving an amp a label or a name be considered hype.. It's just a name. :roll:

thanks talbany - no disrespect on the community - I just have my own way....

perhaps I should have said 'I just dont pay attention to labels' - it was a nice way ( I thought) of saying I just dont totally know.

ps - dumbles arnt hype - I just find what I used to think of as ### is now a new ### based on info in the last 5 years.
it really is a journey, and you just cant farm out the battle wounds
