Bob,

Great job on the amp and pulling off the mirror image, quite an undertaking. 8) Really clean layout. Slick work with the bias jack arrangement; nice wire runs there! Looking forward to the tone report!

Everything working well with the relay power supply and boards?

Regards,
Dave

Relay Boards

Post by Bob S »

Dave - I must admit I was sceptical about putting relays into an amp.
Now I'm looking at all of the options I can build in. No more mini toggles on the front of the amp!
Excellent, high quality boards. Easy to fit & wire.
Guess I'm a convert.
Thanks again,
Bob

Haha, I hear you...when I first started messing around with relays, there was this great pile of wires and my neat mental image of what was supposed to happen started to unravel and I thought 'what have I done?'. But then when you see get them to switch correctly and all is well, then the possibilities start to come into your head...I could switch this and that, and wouldn't it be cool if...

Glad they are working well for you.

Hehehehe, yeah I ended up with four relays in my amp so far.

Bob I replied to your PM.

I'll be interested in a tone report after awhile.

I never did build a 100K plate amp.

I just got back from an overseas assignment and had some Colossal relay and 5V PS boards waiting for me. Excellent looking boards and an easy recommendation for me to make.
