I don't pull V2, but it is not a bad idea. Internally the grid is not connected to anything so it should not matter (with no power).

I guess my original post was a bit misleading. Normally I would not measure resistance with power on, but being that I am impatient and lazy :lol: , i do sometimes measure components in the signal path with power on but in standby. After this discussion I am not going to do that anymore because as i found out, voltage can creep into places you would not expect it to be. Also it is dangerous. Best practice is to never do anything with the AC power cord plugged in that you can do with it unplugged. (Doing my part to keep newbies from turning out like me) :lol:
