Real separate channels, how to?

I have that book too, from 2009 right? Can't find a chapter or even paragraph about channel switching in it. Are you sure it was Merlin's book?

I have the second edition from 2012: Designing Tube Preamps for Guitar and Bass by Merlin Blencowe. In my copy it is chapter 13: Signal Switching.
