Better way to mount relays?

That relay looks bigger than the ones I'm using. Are the pins on .1" center spacing? Thanks for the pictures!

Re: Better way to mount relays?
I had a few PCB boards made a while back for my D'Lite amp build, and wonder if their is any interest here in providing them. The raw boards (the original design has been refined) hold two relays plus the power supply components, and are designed to allow separation of the two if desired. Anybody interested at ~$15.00 raw board shipped, or ~$25.00 populated?
If so, I'll post the design and circuitry info. Thanks to Normster for the simple circuit design.

Count me in Ampdoc1. Can you post a pic?
Re: Better way to mount relays?
Attached is the new layout. The boards come as 2 - two relay circuits on one PCB. I use a chisel to scribe them and cut them apart. Each two relay board is 3 3/4" L x 1 1/4" wide (the PS section is 1" L and the Relay section is 2 3/4" L). Also attached are a couple of pics of the "original" boards I ordered (much improved now).
I have added a number of extra holes all around for convenience of hookup, including space to add a capacitor across each relay coil. Note that the components are shown on my layout picture, but are not printed to the boards. The "H" designators (heater wires) and the relay designators are printed to the board.
The capacitors spacing is designed for 3.5mm radial caps (I used 100uf @ 25V per Normster...Mouser P/N 515D107M025AA6AE3). The relay can be any value mini relay with .1" pin spacing.
I know others are looking to put 3 relays on a board, but I used this size because of the relatively cheap cost of the MiniBoard Service at Express PCB (3 boards @ 3.8" x 2.5" max = $59 shipped).
This site will not allow posting the original PCB program file, but I'll email it to anyone who might wish to order direct.
I will wait a few days to see how many people are interested, before I place an order. I'll PM everyone beforehand to see who wants populated vs unpopulated.

Re: Better way to mount relays?
Brownnote emailed me re these boards. I guess he and Normster were planning something like this, but he told me he'd rather outsource this if I'm game to produce them. So,...
I checked into making this board more versatile and universal. I've added a third relay,...made each of the "sections" (3 relay + PS) detachable, enlarged the hole sizes (#18 for all "off board" connections, #16 for the heater wires), and pads sizes. Additionally, each of these boards is made individually.
I also looked into producing separate PS and single Relay boards, but the cost on the PC boards for 50 each of the PS + 50 of the single relay, is greater than 50 of the PS+ three relays as shown here.
Everybody,...let me know what you want in a "universal" relay board. I'm open to suggestions.

Rather have a universal board, populated or unpopulated ?

Re: Better way to mount relays?
Populated would be my choice but three relays? Not sure why. Pab and OD what's the third one for?ampdoc1 wrote:Brownnote emailed me re these boards. I guess he and Normster were planning something like this, but he told me he'd rather outsource this if I'm game to produce them. So,...

Re: Better way to mount relays?
Could be for a mid boost.
Re: Better way to mount relays?
I use three relays so that would be great! Do you have a schematic for the power supply? Right now I rectify and then regulate to 5v, which seems to work well. Thanks!

Re: Better way to mount relays?
The boards are on order. But, I upgraded them to a better quality, so they won't be delivered until July 12. I should start shipping them on the 16th. The populated boards will be $50.00 ea (I will uphold the earlier pricing to all who inquired before today). This includes 3- 5V Omron "ultra-sensitive" relays (only 30ma each), relay sockets, caps, diodes,...the board ready to install. The boards also have pads and mounting holes to allow placing each relay individually or together, as required. Additionally, the boards will include the solder mask and the top layer silkscreen which identifies the parts.
I am attaching the layout (again) plus the complete schematic and suggested connectors.
The .pcb file cannot be posted on this site, but for those who wish to order their own, email me at: ampdoc@juno.com and I will send it to you direct.
Thanks for your interest.

Do you have dimensions of your new board? I'm working on a new amp layout and that would be useful. Thanks,
Bruce

Re: Better way to mount relays?
Moon,
The entire board (3 relay "sections" + PS "section" is 5 7/16" L x 1 1/4" W. Pic Attached.

Re: Better way to mount relays?
What is the output voltage of the power supply? It appears to be the same power supply I built - I used a different layout but the schematic "looks" the same to me. Mine puts out ~12vdc.
