further more most of these guys contribute a lot of there knowledge to this forum, with out a lot of them all of these new layouts that Tony has done a great job of probably wouldn't exist.

I understand the bad feeling......its the "something for nothing" scenario. The commercial side of this forum is always going to be sensitive. Please lets not loose site of the enthusiasm and good will that is so evident in this amazing forum. Thanks again to Tony for all his hard work recently.

That's how it reads to me.
The point I was trying to make is that we all take alot from this forum and hence from HAD but most of us try and give back where we can and most do. I just think Nik would get a lot more respect if he dropped in from time to time and say thanks for the info you guys have given me and then maybe say I tried this the other day and thought it might help some of you guys. I don't think it would take much time or hurt his business, in fact I think it may even help with the good will it would create

Then you have problems with every Dumble style amp builder out there, because thats what they all are doing to Dumble.

I can't agree with that one. The basic architecture of the Dumble amp was developed by HAD, but guys like Fuchs and Glaswerks have done a ton of R&D. Just like Fender and Marshall taking designs from Western Electric and doing their own math and layouts.
I think the differences are more than the similarities.

I guess I agree with regards to them. They are PCB so not even close.
While I understand the frustration w/ Ceriatone's all-take (no "thanks", not even participate!) approach to the info on this forum, every time this topic comes up it goes the same way.
It would probably be smart to avoid the topic. It is never "solved", and there is never a consensus. It seems that Nik's approach will not change. Perhaps his contribution is to sell chassis to any of us who want to build.

Nik did used to contribute here, over on the Trainwreck side of the forum right back to 2006, so probably before a number of the people who are now criticising him even joined the forum.
He worked with people here to get proper board layouts, chassis dimensions, etc. so he could offer the Express kit and also parts to people that wanted to build a clone of Francesca since no-one else was offering chassis and boards at the time.
Then after a certain Dumble cloner got his panties in a bunch over Nik daring to offer a Dumble clone because it was treading on his market he pretty much gave up having to defend himself on forums like this.
If he popped in to say, "Thanks for posting the 183 info; I'm going to add that to my range" then he'd still get beaten up, and that's the truth.

I can understand this!!,, But what's wrong with this..
Hey this is X from Ceriatone.. Since so many have helped me with either D-Type amps as well as giving my customers advice on how to tweak and repair their Ceriatones to their voice I want to participate more on this forum.. If I or my company is attacked I will not come back..This way we know he gave it a try.... This is just my opinion of coarse..

True, but did you ever read any of Brandon's and latterly Scott's posts directed at him? They were totally out of order.
As I said, he did used to post here and was effectively driven out. So why should he bother coming back for more?
Because he is obviously still profiting taking info from this forum..
That whole thing was a very very long time ago.. Things have changed.. All I am saying is I wish he would give it another try thats all..Nik if your reading.. I think he would be a wonderful contributer here..
