Glad you liked the playing!M Fowler wrote:Tag you do indeed have some nice chops/tone and I want to hear more of you as well, great music.I think the guys here can build an amp to match or exceed that Two Rock.

Any clips of those amps around? I would love to hear them!
Re: Politicians Done...Let it Be
I have no problems with anyone else posting close up pics, I just will not do it myself. This is not a custom sig by the way, just a plain custom that twoRock upped to 100 watts, and Bill went through to make it sound as good as he thought it could sound. I STILL think I like the feel and tone of 50 watts more in all the clones including this one. I have never tried an actual 50 watt Dumble, but I bet I would LOVE it. Mine has a 50/100 switch, but on the 50 watt setting it feels to mushy.dr. who wrote:I don't think that's necessary...someone will post gut shots of s TR CS if they are wanted. I think that most people here aren't interested IMHO because they can dial their D-style amps to get 99% of that tone. FWIW not everyone on this forum is chasing the "politician" sound. Tag you nailed that sound dead on. You have some chops, so lets hear some TAG tunes coming out of those amps instead of this playlist on repeat.Tag wrote: Others.... Sorry, no gut shots. If you want to see whats in one, buy one.

Clips of amps made for other people aside...Tag wrote: Any clips of those amps around? You seem to know what you want, so rather than play amps that are tweaked without YOUR goals in mind, why not have an amp, BludoTone or RedPlate for example, made to achieve what you want to hear and feel?
Even my kids know that the best way to get what they want is to ask for it!

Good call. Isn't that a route you could try ? Or am I missing something here.Zippy wrote:Clips of amps made for other people aside...Tag wrote: Any clips of those amps around? Maybe I should have said, "I find them to make the tone sound a bit harsh when used in certain places in the signal chain."Tag wrote:can you post clips of both so we can all hear it?CHIP wrote:I'm surprised to see so many metal film resistors.I find them to sound harsh in some of the builds where I've tried them.
No comparison clips, because I replaced them with 1 watt carbon film.
Re: TWOROCK 100 WATT CUSTOM ARRIVES! SWEEEETTTT!!!!
I think everyone here IS asking for it no? A good Dumble clone that sounds like the real thing. Thats what I am looking for. I have played most, have not found none yet. I do not think a redplate is a clone, but I would like to try one of those for what it IS. As far as the clones going, I am still trying, with the TwoRocks and a Quinn the closest I have heard yet. Still looking!Zippy wrote:Clips of amps made for other people aside...Tag wrote: Any clips of those amps around? That makes more sense! Thanks for the clarification. Talking with Bill, he uses what he finds the best in all areas of the Sigs, so I am sure thats what he finds to sound the best in those places. Funny thing is I have yet to find any twoRock that is harsh. If anything, some are smoother than real Dumbles.

Here is a new clip of the Cutsom 100. Verdict is still out on whether I like this one or the stock "artist" more.

Tag: You're not a builder, so please listen to this advice: the builders mentioned have different models. I think guys like Brandon has seen many different real Dumbles inside. I think he can come up with at least 5 or 6 different ODS all sounding different.Tag wrote:I think everyone here IS asking for it no? A good Dumble clone that sounds like the real thing. Yes, I know, and I have heard and played several Bludos, Fuchs, TwoRocks, Brown notes, Quinns, Glaswerks, Brunos as well as others and 6 Different Dumbles to compare them all to.erwin_ve wrote:Tag: You're not a builder, so please listen to this advice: the builders mentioned have different models.
