Hi
I am new to this site so you might find a few anal questions - So I apologize in advance. I am taking a Ceriatone ODS 50W with 2 x 12 open back cab and a HRM 50W with a 2 x12 closed back cab
.
Have decided on a Hammond OT and Choke and still in decision on PT.
Any thoughts !! Should I use the same power OT and PT for both amps
I am attempting to achieve LC's 80's tone, in the Valley Arts era. Any thoughts on GOOD quality valves for pre Amp and Power amp sections.
What would HAD have used - I know that LC uses JJ's right now and have heard at first hand LC's Dumble amps ( AWESUM).
Thoughts and comments appreciated

Re: Dumble Valves
I read that LC was using Sovtek 5881's.
Just use the search function (tubes might better than valves though), there's tons of talk about tubes.

Not to step on your post..You da Man..and I know you know this..
I would imagine the reason larry uses the STek 5881 is not many 6L6 style tubes can handle the 700v the Musicmans spit out and prove reliable on the road (One Flippin tough tube).. These tubes really shine with the extra voltage applied to them.. In a regular 450/470 volt amp it's still a decent tube but in my opinion not my favorite..
TAD's ,Tung Sol winged C's or if you can get your hands on some NOS Sylvania STR's my personal fave... I know starting to beat that poor horse again.. Good Luck..
