He has 2 - one is a non-HRM blackface Deluxe derivative (an Elvin Bishop reject and later a Lloyd Jones reject) the other is very similar to Garth's amp except vibrato instead of a loop and the addition of a selectable 5E3 type Tweed Channel
Here's a Kid clip of the Deluxe derivative:

FWIW that amp has a TonkerLite 12

Cool, I'd actually listened to them this morning and that's what got me curious. Great stuff!

Hot Rubber Monkey or Hot Rod Marshall - term is used to describe the later version of the overdrive section that includes trim pots for treble, middle and bass. Opinions vary on if it's more desirable than the earlier non-HRM method with no tone trimmers. My fav is non-HRM because it's more like "talent in a box".

Is Mt.Vernon anywhere near Portland? Do you ever hear Lloyd Jones (Struggle) or Jacob Petersen (Curtis Salgado)?

Thanks Henry, Yea I've heard those guys but it's been a long time. I don't get to Portland often. I'm out here in the sticks.. Eastern Oregon. Grant County. The town I live in is so small...how small is it?..when I get an email..the street lights dim

I used to play with Jimmy Lloyd Rea on occasion. Jimmy Lloyd rea and the Switchmasters.

Looking forward to checking out your amps.

Great clip Henry. :D

I was not familiar with Garth Webber.

From his picture I was expecting a C & W clip.

But that clip was very Carltonish. :D

Great D tone from the amp.

Henry, you should try and hook up with Chris Cain. He'd sound great thru one of these.

I know Chris a little from hanging out at Moe's in Santa Cruz after the many festivals I've seen there, but it's been awhile since I've talked to him. He is one of my all time favorite guitarists and one of the few performers that can get me to drive from Phoenix to LA to see a show.

How do you manage to keep your overdrive so smooth when you are using 100K on the plates of V1?

Tweaking, tweaking tweaking - it's what seperates the men from the boys

I seriously covet the amps you build, I noticed that you made one for Chris Vachon, who is one of my all time favorite guitarists. Which model did he get?

BlackLoop with Overdrive - he wanted a head to fly overseas with and a combo for local gigs so he got both enclosure types.

I got my Blackloop OD a few weeks back and I am simply amazed! The perfect amp for me. I'm still getting to know it as it is so versitile. I've been playing a cheap Michael Kelly LP style guitar with Aero Instrument ZMD humbuckers and I think Carlton and Ford are after my tone at this point. Thanks Henry! :D

Great amps,

Does the customer pick all the different colored knobs and face plates or is that you doing that? Some amps have a rainbow of colored knobs and different styled knobs.
