some info on power tranny

Post by flatart »

I'm going to build a 50W ODS clone with a pair of 6L6. I know for sure that I need about 440/445V on 6L6 plates, so what's the correct PT secondary voltage? 345 or 320V?

I wanted to buy trannies and choke from MercuryMagnetics but they haven't a PT tranny with the additional tap for relays: can you suggest me where to buy a good PT? Europe would be preferable for shipment costs...

Here PT requirements I need:

- primary: 220V
- secondary: 320V or 345 (???)
- 60V tap for bias
- 6,3V tap for tube heaters
- 6,3V or 5V tap for relays
- power: enough for a couple of push-pull 6L6 and 3 12AX tubes

thanks for your help

PT correct secondary voltage is 320-325, you can try Hammond 373CZ or 376X, there are a lot of online sellers this side of the atlantic too.

cheers
