More boost from D'lite...my first build

Post by danotron »

I just finnished my first D'lite...I had a Fender Super 60 that blew up but the trans were ok, so I gutted it.

The amp sounds great, just what I hve been looking for. With my playing style it sound nice a raw and a nice open sound. :D

I would like to get a little more boost from the PAB....any ideas on how I can do that?

I also see from the forum that a Celestion G12-65 is great speaker. I have a G12-80...how does it compare?...is it the same but 80 watts instead of 65 watts...same sound?

Also, my plate voltage is a little high....how does this effect the tone?

Thanks everyone for all the good reading I have done in the past couple weeks. There is a ton of great info in this forum.

I have a D'Lite as well.
The PAB boost is directly affected by how you have the tone stack set.

If you have the T&B below 12 o'clock then the boost will be larger with PAB engaged.

If you have them set higher the boost will be lower.

Do you have a damping resistor on the PAB relay board?

Don't let that smoke out!
