I think Tonelab already kindly asked them to switch to english or to take this conversation off the forum in the above posting.

I too find it quite rude when some language is spoken on a forum that most of the others can not understand/follow.

Cheers,

Sorry about that. It was just a question about a swedish owned Dumble.

As far as I know, PM doesn't work, or at least it hasn't so far..

I've heard that Mats Persson from Gyllene Tider (a swedish pop act) owns a dumble, which infact was ordered by another nordic person in the early 90's.

Have you heard anything about that?

I answeed:

According to what I know there only exists one dumble up here in the north, and that one is owned by a swedish guitarist whos name I'd prefer to leave out.
It is an Overdrive Special which was made exactly as the one Robben Ford used on his Talk to your daughter album, and I believe it was the first one Mr. Dumble made after making the one to Robben.
I haven't heard anything about some other Dumble up here, but I'd be glad if there was more of them.

And Tdale, no the name you mentioned is not the right one.
So, you know the guy who first ordered it? Why did he sell it?

And I from now on promise that no other swedish word will ever be written from me in this forum.
Yet again.... sorry.

The guy who bought it, owns the music sctore named Tre45 (three45) in Trondheim. www.tre45.no

He and Dumble had a mutual friend, and that is how he got the oportunity to place an order for a new amp.

I'm not entirely sure about why he sold it, but I think the reason was mainly that when he was presented with the oportunity to actually buy a new Dumble, he couldn't resist, even if he didn't actually "need" it. But since he owns a music store, he buys and sells amps all the time.

The price was probably an important factor too, since he payed quite alot for it, and probably thought it would be a good idea to sell it to someone who actually would use it and play it.

I'd love to get in touch with the guy who owns it now.. It might be the same guy who bought it from they guy I know..

Thanks for sharing guys. I didn't realise the PM section isn't working.
I recall a couple of years ago stumbling onto a site that had a post on a guitarist from that area with some sound demos using a dumble. I couldn't understand the language but the demos were great, had that 'talk daughter' sound.

I'd like to know who that was.

The norwegian band "Hellbillies" (no, it's not a satanic group :) ) recorded one of their albums "Urban Twang" a couple of years ago, in Stephen Bruton's studio in Texas. The guitarplayer said that he had used a Dumble there, and it was the best sounding amp he'd ever played. The guitarplayer, Lars H. Haugen, is by the way probably Norway's best chicken picker (look for "claw" "tvil paa travbanen" and "urban twang"
