At least early on, the natural position of a Dumble clone is up on blocks like the one in the video. This especially applies to HRM's. They don't spend much time in the cab. It helps if you have a buddy (or a guitar clip) so you can adjust something, hear it from different places in the room and adjust it some more.

A really good mod would be to make a cab like the old Traynor YBA-1's where the top unscrews without having to remove the chassis.

I plan on doing a lot of tweaking, and it would be nice to have a cab like that, except I prefer tubes up. I guess turning it over wouldnt be too bad.
