Could an ODS do this tone?

I know, its Paul Smith playing through either the PRS Private Stock or a Sewell, and the tone is in the fingers, but could a Dumble clone be made to do this? I really like how he gets a lot of gain out of it, but it is still fluid and clear, not flatulent messy booger rectum-frier like. Also, it cleans up real nicely. I've been wanting to do a D-clone as the clips hear sound great, but I'm not sure its for me. They have the chewy honk over the singing screaming that I like.

I played through a Fuchs ODS 50 once. It sounded good, but I couldnt turn it up, and I dont like 1x12 cabinets too much.

Im just trying to figure out if this is for me or if I should be looking at another build.

Thanks in advance,
Ryan

BTW I was there at Experience PRS, and saw Pauls Dumble, although Mark Tremonti was the only one who played through it. To be honest, it sounded weaker than the others, but he was playing Zeppelin through it.

Here is PRS through a Mark I Boogie:

And through a Dumble Overdrive Special:

And another Dumble clip:

Maybe this can help answer your question... The guys sounds very good to me and gets a very articulate tone through any of those guitars, amps and or pickups. :)

Thanks for the clips Gil. Nice to hear the comparisons, even with the generic prs guitars. They -prs- have the most generic sounds available, if one likes it.

Yea, I've seen these clips. Its not like I'm trying to play like Paul or Nicky Moroch; I just saw this as the best tone that I want. His ODS has the honk grainy tone, not as singing as in the videos.
