Overdrive Reverb (Bangkok chassis)

Post by Normster »

I just got an email from Natchanis with a picture of his new Overdrive Reverb chassis. If you're interested, please shoot him an email. [natchakom@hotmail.com]

Price is $120 plus $40 shipping.

Overdrive Reverb

It only has 5 preamp tubes instead of the usual 6, but using Gary's single tube reverb, you could even throw in a Dumblator. ;)

I also let him know about this forum. Maybe once he gets to know us, he'll give us deep discounts. LOL

Normster,

I bought the Bangkok chassis and am starting to build my clone after a long delay.

Could you advise me what trannies did you used. Seems that I'm having trouble trying to find ones that fit into the prefab holes.

I had the same problem. I think the chassis is punched for a 100W Fender PT. I used a 50W Bassman tranny but had to mount it with large flat washers. I guess an adaptor plate would have been nicer but I was too lazy to fabricate one.

Hi Normster,

would he be doing a SSS chassis?

Cheers,

As far as I know, Natchanis only builds an ODS and an ODS Reverb. You might want to drop him a line and ask if he does any custom fabrication. He might go for it if we had enough buyers on this forum to make it worth his while.

Don't understand why he would be punching for a 100Watter twin reverb PT.

Was the original ODS based on 100W PT?

I think he also missed out the rectifier board.

I've got some other pics of a 70s D-amp back when I saw them on ebay. Could be used as a reference.
