Kinkos made one for me on vinyl and then laminated it on both sides with clear plastic. The employee who did it said they could laminate one side or both so I did both and then used 3M spray to put it directly on the chassis. It is holding up well and after a year of constantly removing the chassis for tweaking it is only delaminating just a bit on the corners. The peel and stick works well too. You might ask if they can laminate one side and have a peel on the other, then you get the best of both worlds - durability and easy attachment.
Re: Need help designing a face/back plate (Twin > DClone)
Kinko's sign vinyl is designed to withstand the outdoor elements for 5 years so lamination is probably not needed - doesn't the laminate make the panel too shiny?
When you have Kinko's do one always ask them to fill up the sheet with duplicates so you have at least one spare if you srew up the mounting. Its best to use double sided tape to do a test mount (you can sight through the chassis holes to align and then exacto out a few holes before you peel and stick, so you get it on straight. Wipe the panel down with alcohol or mineral spirits before the final mounting and just exacto out the rest of the holes.

Use JB Stick weld to plug any holes and sand the chassis panel smooth and put the vinyl right on the chassis. I never use the separate faceplates because I don't like the added thickness.

Re: Need help designing a face/back plate (Twin > DClone)
Did anyone build this Dclone with this reverb? And how great does it sound? Is it worth the building and effort? Where exactly was this amp derived from? Does this have a power supply schematic? Thank you Sam

AFAIK Henry used the same schematic/Preamp (2 tube Reverb) for his Twin conversions.
Never tried it and it doesn't interest me at all..
