Err, sorry Martin, I can't easily take another pic so far BUT I solved the VVR issue by routing the AC supply wires as far from the VVR as possible, as suggested by bepone.

I also did all the grounding as per your suggestions BUT for the 4k7 resistor which already had a separate eyelet from the first cap on the revised eyeletboard.

So thanks to all, one more time. After having investigated all the possibilities, I guess what I'm left with is a conductive fiberboard... :?

I wish I knew where I could order a good quality fiberboard, preferably in Europe... :?:

I'll have to redo a complete eyeletboard for the amp, I guess...

Hey ChopSauce, did you measure AC or DC voltages where you think your board is conductive? Have you confirmed the leakage before you reddo everything?

I usually order my boards on eBay straight from China, at the cheapest price ,FR4 material, and so far no issue..

Hi Fred,

Good point! Actually I am not sure of anything & haven't done anything to the amp either. I am just enjoying all the fuzz of the thing at low voltages - kinda...

Well, the point is I measured positive DC grid voltages even though I put caps anywhere recommended and even tried replacing the supposedly faulty caps.

Maybe this is not the fault of the board but I went with a fiberboard one for replication purposes and even painted ( :? ) it black, for it came greyish.

Anyway, thanks to Erwin I now have a fiberglass one, but so far I have a few other things to do first, starting from practicing guitar a little more!

And as you're asking about the HP in another thread, mine finally sports a "vintage" G12S-50, which almost is a rocket (made in UK) with a bigger magnet.
