I have tant here in my 124 and 102 and the control does have a good range on both amps.

Chris, did you use 1uF or 2.2uF on your 102?

Cool thanks. I used a 2.2uF film cap and a 2k pot and the sweep is very good. I find the Presence at 7 adds highs and a little hair, and turned down to 0 or 3 it gets a little flatter with a bit more grunt, but never loses any articulation. I don't plan on adding the bright cap on the Master; I don't think it needs it.

The bright cap is great if you use a dumbleator... It acts as a way to control some of the overall highs for both channels. If you aren't using a dumbleator then it will be too bright at lower volume settings.

I wonder if that blue tantalum cap on 124 is the correct direction and it’s just the print that’s upside down.

It is an electrolytic in the real 102.
