Footswitch cable options?

Post by Deric »

I need some 5 conductor cable for a footswitch. I would like to find something with a rubber jacket (similar to typical guitar/mic cables) that is very flexable. I don't want/need 1000' :? I know Belden makes some - anybody know of any vendors who sells small quantities?

-another question...
I'm only using 2 footswitches and plan on running the LED's in parallel with the relays. The schematics I've seen in the files section show 2 current limiting resistors off of the power supply and 2 "hot" wires to the footswitch for the LED's. Is there a good reason NOT to run a single "LED hot" wire to the footswitch with seperate limiting resistors for the LED's in the pedal? I only ask because I may want to add another relay/footswitch in the future.

I thought guys were using the relay coils themselves to limit the current to the LED's .
I may be wrong though.

I wired mine to use a midi cable easy to replace and available in many lengths.
