Cool tweak, Tony!
Please school me/us on what difference this makes in a push-pull power section. Is it just that drastically mismatched tubes can now be used? Or other benefits beyond precisely balancing the power section?
Static current, Dynamic inductance and all that jazz.

Increases the chances of even tube wear over time translating to longer tube life as well as the ability to compensate for current draw drift (from each tube) over time, therefore prolonging the life expectancy of the quad. Right?
Maybe... I agree average dissipation would be more tightly controlled. You could of course rebalance after some drift has occurred, or after a tube replacement, with just two pots. In the guitar amp world, two bias pots is rare (some D amps, Fuchs, I think), and four is virtually unheard of. No doubt the primary reason is economic... a lot of extra parts are required.

Since we are all geeks here ....

Cool!. Maybe I should pull a Randall Smith (Mesa Boogie)and patent it Oh wait a minute, Randall doesn't even use bias pots!.
I'll call it "The Quad Bias"..Market it as the first-ever perfectly balanced amplifier.
Honestly, I wasn't expecting to get much out of it in the way of added performance. It's just something I thought of, had the room and the parts, and had some fun doing something new and finally get to use some of these old tubes I had laying around.

All my amps have bias adjustment for each tube... it's not a new thing. My last ODS 100W had a rotary switch and jacks to plug your volt meter into. The rotary switch allows you to toggle between power tubes. Overkill maybe but convenient!
