New clip trying out Waves IR Reverb plugin. HRM and BM PI

Post by dogears »

Hey guys,

Here is a quick take on a tasty blues ballad backing. G1265 closemiced with an SM57. I used Waves IR Convolution Reverb on it. The guitar plate. I used to use this plugin all the time, but have not for a couple of years. It blows away what I had been using recently, no?? Me likey this....

Amp is Skyline HRM w/BM 6L6 power. Recorded dry and not too loud. Should have brought the master up 1 number to push it into feedback better.

One of your finest clips, me thinks!

Smooth verb, and the mids were just right. Maybe a little less high end sparkle than some other clips.

Some of your tastiest playing too!!!!

I like this reverb for its lack of top though. Its almost as it you can't "hear" the reverb as much - which is a good thing. I love verb but I don't want to hear verb - ya know? I instead want to be convinced im in a large empty space. Great verb scott! Is that a free plug in?
