What is the "Ultra Phonix" mod?

Hi,

Can anyone tell me what the "Ultra Phonix" mod is?
It seems Mr D. does these mods to blackface fender amps.
Anyone seen it?

While I have no info on the mod,I have seen a picture of a blackface bassman head that looked box stock............he also does one called the "slide winder".......never found any info though............

I read a while ago that one of these mods may just be the conversion of the pi to marshall specs.

You mean the phase inverter?
Also a different output tranny with el34's or only the phase inverter?

Yes I did mean the phase inverter. I do not expect that the would also change the transformer and the tube type.

But really all I stated is that I read this some time ago on this board and I do not know if this is true at all.
