reverb or loop
I have a 4(pre) hole chassis
going to try a 2/3rd gen build wondering if I should do the 1 tube reverb or internal loop with extra tube? Wondering if the fx loop still works the same with on board reverb? As in can I still run an external loop(dlator) with delay and run on board reverb at once? Any comments are greatly appreciated

Re: reverb or loop
I'd go loop. Then you can add reverb in the loop or in front. sh

Regardless, yes most guys add the D-lator to just put reverb/delay (or other time based effects) in the loop. If you're not really someone that uses anything other than Reverb, then just add the Verb and do a passive loop before the Verb for use with an external Dumbleator if you ever want to use anything else.

Re: reverb or loop
Thanks guys
I have not had good luck with the built in loop
I might just give it another go....
Luthierwnc I need to look closer at the way you implemented the loop
with 1 cap...
Thanks boldaslove6789
that is a very nice amp, wish I had a 5 hole chassis

Re: reverb or loop
My Quinn actually has 6 preamp tubes, (one is between the Pwr tubes).
Has a Mercury Mag Fender Twin Reverb Pwr Trafo with extra Relay tap, and AFAIK a Heyboer Plexi style OT (4/8/16 ohms).
V1 Clean
V2 OD
V3 D-lator
V4 Verb Driver (12at7)
V5 Verb recover (12ax7)
V6 Phase Inverter
You can kind of see where the tube is below:
