G-Dorian,
Have Michael send you his tweaks. The stock D-Lite circuit is only one variation of Dumble architecture. If you want fuller low mids and creamier overall tone, check with Mike for what he did to fix this.

Re: DLite problems
Michael already sent me some mods and said he's going to send me some more. When I get the problem taken care of, I will check out the new ones.dogears wrote:G-Dorian,

Re: DLite problems
G-D I originally had problems with my start up, which were few minor issues. One bad original pre amp tube, and bad solder connections. One power tube was not being used and I got a similar output as you described. Poking around with chop stick on connections revealed my mis step. All corrected, this amp seems to improve with more playing time. Keep us posted.

As brownnote mentioned, my DLite is the prototype that Norm built. It worked great for quite a while. This problem is pretty much all of a sudden. I turned it on and it didn't sound right. And the problem persisted.
I tried checking soldering joints (although I know Norm did a great job), but I think it's a job for Norm.

I'll post the results once Norm has checked it out.
