The amp has the 90's HRM, Jazz/Rock, Mid boost, PAB and it's installed in the Peavey cabinet with an Eminence Tonker and a Swamp thang.
Amazing versitility from this amp.
I walked into one guy jamming heavy metal stuff with a Carvin (
) guitar. He had the drive up to about 8 and the PAB on. He loved it....
) guitar. He had the drive up to about 8 and the PAB on. He loved it....Next a guy walked up and plugged in a big fat Grestch. Sounded like wallowing in mud so I made some tweaks, drive on 3, PAB off, treble on 8, mids 3, bass 5. Smoking blues tones.
Another guy plugged in a Chet Atkins solid body acoustic, hit the jazz position and it was smooth as glass, we put an SM-57 on it to help it cut through the mix.
I set the gain back to typical about 5, and hit the PAB and rocked out with some cool classic rock and blues, it stayed at that setting through about 10 guitarists.
NOTE, also present was a Bogner Shiva 1x12 with EL-34's, a Carvin Steve Vai model and a few assorted Peavey's and Fenders. The Bogner and my amp were never off.
BTW. The Bogner owner let me open it up and take pics. Not much help but some suprises, that's for another thread over on the tech forum.
