10 inch speakers with the sound of EVM12L Classic?

Post by Svempan »

Sorry if this is a little off topic, but as EV-speakers is used in many Dumble speakers I guess I'm not totally out... :?

I like the size and the sound of 10 inch speakers. Does anybody know a 10 inch speaker that has a sound close to Electro-Voice EVM12L Classic

Thank you,

Sven-Johan

Hi,

There is an EVM10L...

It is hard to find as far as I know.

I also like the JBL K-110 BTW.

I hope this helps,

The Celestion v10's sound great in a closed back cab with an ODS IMHO.

You may have beter luck finding EV FORCE 10's these were the budget version, they have a stamped basket and lighter magnet than the EVM series, but the ones I've heard sound good.

Thanks for your answers!

I'm after a clean (sort of) Steel String Singer type of sound. Think SRV on "Ain't Gone 'N' Give Up On Love" and "Mary Had A Little Lamb" from the "Live At Montreaux, 1985" DVD.

The Celestion type of sound and the Overdrive Special type of sound is not what I'm after.
